Concerns regarding this article

[edit]

User Geraldine Aino has raised several concerns (including the creation process, the reference quality, and the article's notability) about this article in several different forums (including Administrators noticeboard/Incident, Teahouse, and on DoubleGrazing’s user talk page). I responded to the concerns on the user's talk page. Wikipedialuva (talk) 02:06, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of "Notability" template

[edit]

On 6 November 2024, an IP editor (2601:589:4884:e1d0:b539:51e:8714:1a33) added a the "Notability" template to the article (diff:[1]). Their edit summary stated, "CORP not met, citations are all sourced from subject. Company not notable at all." The addition of the template seems to be a rehashing of the discussions linked in the "Concerns regarding this article" section of this talkpage in June. Furthermore, the edit summary's rationale for the template's addition is demonstrably false and appears to be unrelated to this article. The article has six references and only cites one reference from the subject, while the remaining five references include three peer-reviewed journals, a research report from a Connecticut General Assembly researcher, and the Federal Register. For the above reasons, I feel the "Notability" template is not appropriate and should be removed, or at a minimum, a supporting rational be provided that is not factually incorrect. Unexplained COI template

[edit]

On December 26, Geraldine Aino added the COI template to the article without explanation. Template:COI page states: "Like the other neutrality-related tags, if you place this tag, you should promptly start a discussion on the article's talk page to explain what is non-neutral about the article. If you do not start a discussion, any editor will be justified in removing the tag without warning. Be careful not to violate the policy against WP:OUTING users who have not publicly self-disclosed their identities on the English Wikipedia." The page also goes on to state: "In order to be tagged, the article should have a specific, articulatable, fixable problem. Do not apply this tag simply because you suspect COI editing or because there is or was a COI editor. COI editors can be added to the talk page using the template {{Connected contributor}}."

Geraldine Aino has made it clear they have had various issues with the article since at least June (see the "Concerns Regarding This Article" section on this page). They have voiced this opinion on various forums, including Administrators noticeboard/Incident, Teahouse, and on DoubleGrazing’s user talk page). Many users have attempted to respond to their concerns, including an uninvolved administrator and myself. I attempted to address their concerns on Geraldine Aino talk page. As part of my response, I stated, "I also want to make it clear that I do not have any WP:Conflict of interest with this organization." I want to again reiterate that I do NOT have a COI with this organization.

While I am within my rights to "remove the tag without warning" per the template page, I will first give the editor that added a chance to start a discussion explaining what the "specific, articulatable, fixable problem" is that led them to add this. If they do not, I plan to remove the template. Wikipedialuva (talk) 01:34, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
