Graduation Ceremony?
[edit]What is the difference between a commencement ceremony and graduation? Or is commencement at the start (matriculation?). Needs some clarification - seems to be a US thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.221.13.140 (talk) 07:56, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
Questioning subject description: "generally in the United States"... seems that it would be common all over the world... who knows?

Notable speeches
[edit]I'm tempted to restrict this section to just speeches with Wikipedia articles. Secondary sources aren't perfect here: Time magazine's "Top 10 commencement speeches" lists Winston Churchill alongside Stephen Colbert. At the moment, I've left in Churchill (it's his "Never give in" speech), but removed Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Taylor Swift. Time will tell whether Trump, Clinton and Swift's insights achieve notability. cagliost (talk) 11:50, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
