Just how long has the name applied to the spot? The Oxford English Dictionary suggests it had a US origin in the 1920s, but also an Australian usage from the same period, a white man who lives with an Aboriginal woman. If it had the name in the 1890s, the dictionary is wrong and should be told. A little bit of local historical research that some Queenslander could do. --GwydionM 18:16, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
