I have been unable to confirm much of the history given in the Hospital Street Association webpage in Hall, directory listings & other sources. The fact that Bower rebuilt it is partially supported by the council booklet, which states that it was built by Bower -- clearly impossible given the date stated in the listing. (The Hall citation here only supports the fact that Bower lived at no. 140–142.) Espresso Addict (talk) 03:29, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
