Name
[edit]Someone with better German skills should probably weigh in on this, but shouldn't the name of the medal be the Combat Deployment Medal? "Combat Action Medal" is likely taking an existing US award, Combat Action Ribbon, and utilizing its name as the translation. Cheers. EricSerge (talk) 16:23, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- The Bundeswehr itself calls it "Combat Action Medal" on their english website.[1] "Combat Deployment Medal" would be a good translation of its German name "Einsatzmedaille Gefecht" but since the Bundeswehr itself uses the term as it is in the title now, I don't think it needs to be changed.
