The article doesn't explain why the farmer wanted to remove or demolish the rock. Why not just leave it buried? Was there some building or road intended to be placed there? What's the explanation? --Hibernian (talk) 17:25, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The stone got in contact with the plowshares during plowing. To avoid damage to the plow and to increase the yield of the field smaller stones are typically excavated in Germany. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 05:28, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
