Congrats on your first article!
[edit]Hi T. Danylevich--sometimes all we need is a little push, so I took the liberty of moving this out of the sandbox so others can find this article! Maybe some will even add a little themselves! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 03:25, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Elysia (Wiki Ed)!! (did I do that right?) --T. Danylevich (talk) 16:30, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- T. Danylevich, nearly perfectly! I got the notification :) the only small thing missing was the indent at the beginning. You always want to indent once more than the person you're responding to. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:31, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi Elysia (Wiki Ed) I was just adding to this as one of my ILL books on her is due, and I was wondering, is it appropriate to reproduce the contents of the statement of purpose? It's in the holdings at howard and is also reproduced in one of the books I'm using on her (mary ann shadd cary, that is). — Preceding unsigned comment added by T. - T. Danylevich ultimately, it depends on how much content you want to quote and the licensing of the statement. If it was published before 1924, then the book is part of the public domain and can be used indiscrimately without fear of infringing copyright. If the book is in copyright, then you can still quote from it, but the quotations need to be "brief" (unfortunately not a better guideline than that) and not excessive. Let me know if you have further questions. Also you need to make sure you sign in order to send someone a ping :) I just happen to still have this page on my watchlist!
