Not exactly "banned from campus"

This newspaper has never been "banned" from the campus of the University of Colorado in the sense of banning distribution of the paper there. What happened in 1970 is that the Daily ceased to be an official student publication of the University and ceased to be funded by the University of Colorado via mandatory student fees. At that time the paper became a private activity instead of an official University activity, but it was still welcome on the campus.

Right up to the present day, the Daily is primarily distributed on the campus (although it is also distributed at other locations in Boulder) and it primarily caters to a student audience.68.98.123.111 (talk) 04:30, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
