Out of date

[edit]

Looking through the references of this page, it appears out of date. For instance, the Fixed assets column uses references dated from 2005, 2006 and 2007. Ref 10, whihc is being used to verify the enrollment figures, doesn't really point to anywhere. Perhaps instead of having a website column, there should be a reference column. The correct pages could then be linked for the correct info ([1] for Christ's College, for example). The enrollment information is also at least a year out of date. Interesting. I hadn't noticed how much this list had been changed since I managed to push to it FL. A number of columns have been added (against my better judgement) and the images have become a gallery (again, against my better judgement). You're also correct that, for [10] at the very least, the references aren't good either. I'll see what I can do, but right now I wouldn't be surprised to see this at FLRC. Cheers. In fact, when I got this list promoted, a much more exact reference was provided for these figures... See this version... The Rambling Man (talk) 17:34, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I remember reviewing this at the FLC, and some of those columns seemed new, but I wasn't sure. I'll leave it in your good hands; it certainly looked a lot better then compared to now. Matthewedwards :  Chat  18:51, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps it's worth running it through FLRC then so we can get a consensus on what's best. I'd hate to remove columns and galleries etc against community consensus. It is certainly a different beast from the one I submitted at FLC... The Rambling Man (talk) 18:55, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That might be the best thing to do. Would you like me to start it or do you want to? Matthewedwards :  Chat  19:00, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
←Well, it was largely I who added the fixed assets column, getting my information from an online edition of the Varsity (pp. 6-7). I am somewhat disappointed that my efforts should only have led to people contemplating having to delete what I had added or demote the article. Surely some information, even if it is outdated, is better than none? It Is Me Here t / c 18:04, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing personal, just we seemed to lose some specific references between the time I pushed the list through to FL and right now. Plus the images down the side became a gallery which isn't so good either. When time allows I'll see what we can do. But right now Matthew is right to ask for us to fix up the problems. Out of date information is okay, I suppose, but we should make it up to date if possible. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:18, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's still very out of date. The figures for student numbers are quite inaccurate for instance (e.g. Christ's College is listed as having 450 undergraduates and 91 postgraduates, while the figures in the reference 11 are 413 and 224 respectively). At the very least, the column headings should say which academic year they relate to. 131.111.185.76 (talk) 15:46, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some endowment figure do not seem correct. For instance, Peterhouse at £17M is wildly inaccurate and most likely a misreading of the financial statements. --86.26.33.36 (talk) 20:47, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IP editor, the 2023 Peterhouse accounts clearly show endowments of £17M and total reserves of £350M, which suggests that they have chosen to accumulate other reserves rather than endowments. TSventon (talk) 13:47, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
