[edit]Much or most of the current article appears to have been copied directly from www.collegeboard.com. -Aaron
Wikipedia likely contains most, if not all, information necessary to pass any given CLEP. It would be nice to setup a category for each exam and link the relevent Wikipedia articles. Would this fit into the Wikipedia mission? Could this be achieved without violating copyrights from www.collegeboard.com or other entities? -Aaron
- Wikibooks would be the right place for that kind of project. Borisblue 09:01, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
USA-Centric
[edit]Why is it listed as USA-centric? The test is administered in the US by an American organization. Unless the camplaint is about Puerto Rico not being mentioned in the article, I really don't see a problem here. I mean, an article about the state of Arkansas is about nothing but the US, but it wouldn't be classified as USA-centric, would it? Unless there is an actual good reason for this, I'd say this is a case of "bias-phobia". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.65.219.204 (talk) 05:40, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- It's not that it is inappropriately USA-centric: it is that it relates entirely (almost entirely) to the United States but doesn't say so anywhere. I came here from a question on the help desk, and was trying to work out what country the question related to. I wanted to add "in the United States" somewhere in the lede, but couldn't work out where would be the appropriate place. --ColinFine (talk) 14:55, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
cost?
[edit]What is the sourcing for the price? It says $60 in the article, but I took the Calc clep yesterday and it only cost $55Borisblue 08:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I added to source. I'm not sure why it was $55 for you, but the official site says $60. I recommend you to ask your local CLEP test center about it. --Acepectif 09:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe the $60 is the cost with the administration fee? If it is, it does look misleading, as it now the article implies that the cost is $60+reg fee. Borisblue 10:16, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

'Levels 1 and 2'
[edit]What is meant by, for example, 'French Language Levels 1 and 2'? There should maybe be some clarification within the article, unless I'm just pathetically stupid. And if I am, please don't be cruel =(. Crushti (talk) 19:12, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Controversy?
[edit]I've seen some posts on CLEP study message boards about colleges not regarding CLEP highly, i.e., that a potential admissions office might choose not to take a CLEP-qualified student over one who received the same credit for a semester long course. Does anyone have the perspective of an education professional re: CLEP that could be added to the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.122.192.37 (talk) 15:23, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
