Potentially libellous description of involvement in murder case

After reading this article I'm concerned that the somewhat obtuse way it has been written may be negatively impacting Colin Strickland by making it sound as if he was an accomplice to murder. I'm going to give it some time before I do any edits as I'm open to suggestions as to how the article might best be re-worded. However it seems this article isn't exactly receiving a lot of editor attention so if there are no suggestions by next weekend I will just come up with something myself.
