It looks to me from the history of this article that it has been vandalised several times since it was first created, which may be why it was in such a poor state. I have added a bit of detail and some references, but the whole thing needs a proper going over and expansion. He is one of the UK's foremost children's book illustrators and this article deserves improvement. I don't have time to do more right now but I will watch it and come back to it when I can.--Plad2 (talk) 07:45, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
