ast I doubt whether the terciopelo (fer de lance) is the most important fauna in the region, and thus solely deserving of mention.

If we are to keep this, a reference is needed that indicates that the snake is more common to Ciudad Colón than to other regions. My reading indicates that the snake likes the lowlands, while Colón is a mountain town, but it does appear that there are many anecdotal mentions of this snake in this area. But I couldn't find a good cite specifically mentioning this species and Ciudad Colón. Bustter (talk) 23:42, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect the injection of this name is a matter of vandalism, a reference to a former UPenn campus fixture who is now serving time as a child predator. Going to look at who added this and their other history, prefatory to deleting it.Bustter (talk) 09:47, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
