Most Broadway shows do NOT carry their own stage, but may carry certain platforms and stage elements
Coffin locks come in several styles with the "Hook and Pin" style being the oldest and most common.
Its primary advantage comes from a camming action that pulls the two parts of the lock together tightly in addition to just hooking together.
coffin locks have many other uses in theater, and are often used in scenery to join flats together for touring shows which saves wear and tear on the flats by reducing the screw together factor.
