There is (Northern Ireland apart) now no 'Coal Measures Group' in formal use though BGS lists in its lexicon of rock names a 'Coal Measures Supergoup'. There are also separate formal groups for the Coal Measures succession in Scotland, the Pennines/north of England and South Wales. It begs the question as to what should happen to this page. There is also the page titled Coal measures which gives a (partial) international perspective on the term.
Anyone got any thoughts as to the best way of attending to this part of the rock succession across one or more pages on WP? cheers Geopersona (talk) 05:11, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
