Offices

[edit]

Although I can find no written record of it, I recall that in the 1980s the Co-operative Womens' Guild had offices (it's head office?) at 342 Hoe Street, Walthamstow London E17. The property now appears to be used by a number of local business. Nealc 10:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Eugenics

[edit]

Regarding the paragraph:

"In July 1931 the Women's Co-operative Guild at their conference passed a resolution advocating compulsory sterilisation for the mentally or physically unfit."

The reference given for this statement is Potter, Mark (14 July 2021). "The key to understanding social Darwinism lie in the political struggles going on in that society". QMHJ. Retrieved 10 March 2023.

However, there is nothing within this article that evidences the statement.

I have not been able to find any further information that supports this statement. 2A00:23C6:539A:4B01:55C3:A398:78CB:D10F (talk) 14:18, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
