Fair use rationale for Image:Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose 3x04.jpg
[edit]Image:Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose 3x04.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Laurel & Hardy
[edit]In the last scene, the Laurel & Hardy film on TV is from The Bullfighters (1945). Another reference to the many film comedians that the director Clyde Bruckman worked with. MBG 119.11.14.7 (talk) 07:44, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I shall conduct this review. -- Matthew RD 23:13, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Criteria
[edit]- Well written: See comments below.
- Sources: Reliable, all web sources verify the content, but there are notes below.
- Broadness in coverage: General pass, but the plot section seems too long. It would have to be shortened a bit.
- Neutral: Again, we'll see after the plot section is taken care of in the comments below.
- Stability: No edit conflict problems, ✓ Pass
- Images: The non-free image has two of the same licenses and you only need one of those. There is a fair-use rationale, so this criteria is a ✓ Pass
Comments
[edit]- The plot summary is too long. WP:TVPLOT states "summaries for episode articles should be about 200 to 500 words," the plot section of this article is 688. Isn't there anything that can be cut down?
- Also, quite a few of the passages are a bit non-sensical. For instance; "In a store Clyde Bruckman standing in a liquor store reading tabloid headlines about a psychic's predictions. After purchasing the paper and a lottery ticket, he leaves." To make the plot flow better you can just say somewhere along the lines of "Clyde Bruckman purchases a newspaper featuring the headlines of a psychic's predictions and a lottery ticket from a liqour store."
- Actually, let's see what you could cut down first, then I'll give it a read and see if there are any more problems there. I'm sure there are some things to shave off.
- "Reviewer Zack Handlen of The A.V. Club gave the episode a A..." He actually graded the episode an A.
- On the references link TV Guide and Slate.
- For the IGN source you need the correct url; the episode entry is on the third page, not the first.
I'll place this on hold for seven days. -- Matthew RD 03:53, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, I cut down the plot summary quite a bit. It's about 500 words now. Hopefully, that solves that problem. I changed the other prose errors. I believe I've fixed everything.--Gen. Quon (talk) 19:13, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Nice one, although having read over the plot there are a few more things to take care of.
- Avoid using apostrophes and spell them out (couldn't to could not, he'll to he will, isn't to is not, he's to he is) the "You don't" quote can be left alone as it was said during the episode.
- "Scully sits on his bed holding his hand as he dies, deeply moved". This line seems to say that Bruckman was still alive when Scully was holding him, but wasn't he already dead?
- Sort thes issues out and I'll pass the article, I promise. -- Matthew RD 19:37, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- OK, now I think everything is cleared up!--Gen. Quon (talk) 00:48, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes you have. Well done. I will now pass the article, thanks for your patience. -- Matthew RD 01:08, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

Big Bopper lives oder dies, depending on a flipping coin
[edit]In the film is said that Big Bopper were into a position where he lives oder dies, depending on a flipping coin. But the Wikipedia says that "Valens was on the plane because he won a coin toss." not the Big Bopper. Sourcee: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Ritchie_Valens 91.66.134.161 (talk) 11:26, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- Well, the episode said it was the Big Bopper. The episode might've been wrong, but that doesn't matter.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 21:33, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Wording
[edit]- 'The episode won both an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series as well as an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
This wording is quite strange. Darin Morgan won the Emmy for writing and Peter Boyle won it for acting. How can an episode win these things? Viriditas (talk) 10:05, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- That's a very fair point. The wording should be amended.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 13:21, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

what?
[edit]"Although Morgan was initially afraid to add humor to his script, he created a compromise by making the episode as dark as possible." 2404:4404:370C:7200:42A3:CCFF:FE8D:C2DC (talk) 13:58, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- And? He wanted to make it funny, but didn't want it to be tonally dissonant, so he made the humor very dark.--Gen. Quon[Talk] 16:18, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
