Origin of the closing bell name

Closing bell of course refers to the bell that rings when stock exchanges close. The TV programs are named after that, yet there is no mention that that's the primary use of the term. There should be a discussion of the closing bell, the time (4:30 PM for the major US exchanges,) and the accompanying ceremony, usually involving guests.
