Related?
[edit]If anyone knows Clive Spate, could you find out if he is related to a Spate family in Grimsby. Our family are originally from the Midlands but moved to Grimsby in the 1950s. As far as I know there are only two Spate families in the UK. It would be interesting to find out if we're related. Gary Spate GrimGary 22:43, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Most of my relatives are originally from Mansfield Woodhouse in Nottinghamshire. With an unusual name we could be related but I'd need some family background to be sure of that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scrabbler1952 (talk • contribs) 21:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll have to dig out the family tree, my father has done a bit of research on it so I'll have a chat with him to see if he could shed anymore light on the family pre-1950s. Thanks for replying. GrimGary (talk) 02:36, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
Barely notable
[edit]I gave this article a copy edit (which consisted of removing a sentence about someone whose name is not in Wikipedia saying that she thinks the subject of the article looks like someone ELSE whose name is not in Wikipedia, and I've rarely seen anything more non-notable) and wonder if this could be a candidate for deletion due to non-notability. I've never seen this TV show and don't know how well-known it is. Accounting4Taste 23:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Countdown is one of the UK's most famous game shows and is the longest running show on Channel 4. GrimGary (talk) 02:36, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
