General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

Overall: Cite your source for that quote in the sidebar (the one beginning with "There is no reason to suppose" and we'll be good. Aside from that: ALT1 is strongly preferable, I think.
