Teal independents?

[edit]

So "Teal independents" redirects here, but there isn't any explanation in the article as to why/how Climate 200 links to the term Teal independent. Kiwichris (talk) 08:54, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Teal independents now has its own page so problem solved? Kiwichris (talk) 21:41, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Climate 200 candidate adopted the blue-green colour of Teal.

Their policies are a mixture of Liberal (blue) and Green (green) ----MountVic127 (talk) 10:28, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To Whom it may concern

Here is the text from a letter I sent to my local Labour MP, Justine Elliot this morning.

I have not written to politicians in the past because I have had no faith in them since I graduated from Leicester University with a 2:2 Hons Degree (Politics) in 1976.

However, there is always a first time for everything, so at 67 years of age may I finally do some good by supporting my adopted country. Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of living here.

The letter was written after reading an ABC article this morning.

“ How your spiking energy bills are making foreign investors rich”

By ABC business editor Ian Verrender

“Dear Ms Elliot, I sent you an email a few minutes ago regarding electricity bills image0.png

It is an outrage that Australian folk suffer floods, fires, increased cost of living etc whilst foreign global multinational companies: those responsible for global climate change, pay little if anything in taxes to Australia, whilst exploiting “our” resources and add insult to injury by destroying our cultural (Rio Tinto), Forestry (Tasmania) and World Heritage (Barrier Reef) assets. I can understand why the likes of Scott Morrison, Barnaby Joyce and their acolytes ignored these travesties for 10 years; ignorance, greed, ego and self interest being their personal & political qualities. However, things have changed, we hope for the better, and what better way to demonstrate change than to commence a massive revenue gathering program to pay for policies and programs which benefit all Australians: our environment, our climate, health, social, economic and political agencies. Please progress this for the benefit of us all. Demonstrate to Morrison, Cavanagh, Dutton, Taylor and Joyce that the ALP is something more than just a machine to get self-interest, blind ego and greedy arrogance re-elected. Regards John Howcroft. “ 124.168.156.135 (talk) 04:08, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
