Do we need all his scientific publications?

[edit]

Because if we do than I think we should add the millions of scientific publications for all the other important people out there (a la ResearchGate). I think this is a clear case of self promotion. A good compromise would be to restrict the list to a few (1-5, maybe 3) publications of large importance. 217.81.201.52 (talk) 19:39, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

probable COI

[edit]

This article appears to be a possible violation of COI, single sourced, possible self-promotion, etc. 72.228.177.92 (talk) 09:39, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

rm'ed the COI tag (best faith, no paranoia, etc.), the others more closely match current state.
Thanks. I searched for all Wikipedia mentions of Asness and added links. There were a lot, so I don't think that's still an issue. I see the point about resume-like and over-reliance on two sources, I'll take a crack at a more appropriate rewrite, using more material from the other sources.AaCBrown (talk) 00:14, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Finance

[edit]

This article should be included in Wikiproject Finance. I'll see what I can do to make that happen.

Also, for future editors to note, maybe me, when I have a chance, Cliff Asness went straight from CS undergrad to graduate school at University of Chicago, see here--FeralOink (talk) 00:42, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Updates

[edit]

I removed two outdated points. Asness no longer serves on the Manhattan Institute board, and the Obamacare comment was marginally relevant at the time and seems completely out of date now. Please let me know if anyone disagrees. AaCBrown (talk) 04:05, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
