I contest the deletion of this page as Clench is a place in Wiltshire UK - I direct you to this map reference:

I believe Clench is a genuine place or at least Clench Common see microlight flying at Clench Common, mention of its history in Wiltshire community history and Old maps. However whether it meets notability requirements is another matter.— Rod talk 14:12, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Clench Common exists and could have an article (it currently diverts to marlborough). However there is no place called Clench or Sponglethwaite for that matter near the common. I live only ten minutes away from Clench Common, but if you don't believe me look at the OS Map for the area. You will (your map reference) find a hamlet called Clench to the west of Wootton Rivers but that is not associated with the airfield. --Snowded TALK 14:46, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- How can you say there is no place called Clench and then go on to say there is a hamlet called Clench? Where are you from I bet its Sponglethwaite, they're all like that round there. Iknowalltheanswers (talk) 15:08, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Note the phrase "near the common" --Snowded TALK 15:16, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

- Sorry, my mistake. I'll take you for a pint down the old Fadge and Badger in Sponglethwaite next time I'm there. Iknowalltheanswers (talk) 15:21, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- I note that the joke councilor list that was in this version has been removed. I have wiped everything else that is not supported. At that point it might stand as a stub --Snowded TALK 15:02, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
