Notability?

I'm rather confused as to why someone put on the tag that this article lacks information on his importance. He was in the Nuttall Encyclopedia, his book is at Project Gutenberg, and The National Archives of the United Kingdom has material on him. What more do you want? Fanra 09:42, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
