This is my home town...just thought I would share that Link 13:45, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Angel Noriega? She doesn't register any Google hits, at least none in English. Also, what is the reason for information about the mayor's hometown, being that it's not Clear Lake. The article is about Clear Lake. He's mayor of Clear Lake. That's important. How is where he was born or where he went to school appropriate for an article about Clear Lake? This information makes the article look more like a middle school project on what my parents do than a serious article about a serious town.Johnn 7 00:51, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Mayor

[edit]

I agree with User:Johnn 7 about the need to discuss the mayor. First of all, what does "current mayor" mean to future readers. Whenever an elected official is included, it should mention when he/she was elected. That establishes a time line. Personally, I don't feel he should be mentioned at all and would like to see references to the mayor, or anyone else, removed. --Dennis Fernkes 01:11, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you make a good point. For now I'll remove the references to things that have no relevance to Clear Lake. Johnn 7 13:46, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The edit summaries that User:Johnn 7 used when removing the mayor's biography were "npov" and "removed npov references to mayors background". It would have been perfectly legitimate to remove the information on the grounds that it is not very relevant to this article, or, since no source is cited, because we doubt whether it is true - but neither of those things has anything at all to do with neutral point of view. Misleading edit summaries are unacceptable. Please take more care. Thank you. GrahamN 14:50, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:GrahamN: Please refrain from making personal attacks. This behavior is unacceptable. There is nothing here worthy of a personal attack. Your history confirms that this is not an isolated incident. As a wikipedian, it alarms me that you chose to revert a legitimate edit because you want to pick a fight about the nomenclature involved. Good information should always prevail over petty personal disputes. Johnn 7 01:42, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Angel Noriega

I haven't been able to find out any information via Google or any other source about an Angel Noriega associated with Clear Lake, IA. I removed the reference.Johnn 7 16:52, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
