Isn't the picture kind of pointless? It serves no real purpose. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.192.236.174 (talk) 06:17, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kite flying?

[edit]

Why has kit flying become associated with this day? Would be lovely to clarify this. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 15:10, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that {{clarify}} is an inappropriate tag for your request. The statement is self-contained and cited to a reliable secondary source, which I have verified. It seems that your request is that someone do research and expand on the history of kite flying for today. Please do not abuse a maintenance template when there is no flaw in the article here. Elizium23 (talk) 15:17, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Whoa, that's a bit strong. "Abuse"? The template is "to clarify text that is difficult to understand." It was difficult to understand why kite flying would be connected to a day related to Lent. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 16:57, 2 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
