Citation improvements
[edit]- When citing other wikipedia pages, use double brackets like so: [[google]]
- Please download the Wikipedia:Cite4Wiki Firefox plugin. Visit the web page of each reference and use the tool to generate citation wikicode. Drop this code into the draft inline where the citation can substantiate the facts asserted in each sentence. Generally citations should go at the end of sentences or paragraphs. Not every sentence needs a citation, however, anything potentially controversial or derogatory about a living person must be cited to a reliable source. (I only wish the rest of the Internet worked this way!)
- I've added a function at the bottom of the page that will automatically generate footnotes once you add the inline citation code. Take a look at another biography article to see how it works, such as David Copperfield (illusionist).
Once these steps are done, we'll see what we've got. Jehochman Talk 20:39, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Question
[edit]Is this person the same as Clay Johnson or Clay Johnson III? Jehochman Talk 00:11, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
No. Karichisholm (talk) 07:42, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Note: I clarified in the edit notes that I reverted an edit because of a mistaken assumption that the subject added links, which was not the case, and added some third party references to the topic. Vanessafox (talk) 23:35, 4 July 2010 (UTC)vanessafox
- Re-adding notability tag until a neutral party can weigh in on it, Vanessafox is a personal friend of Clay Johnson's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.61.217 (talk) 15:06, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- There are at least a few seemingly reliable references. If you think the subject is not notable, please nominate for deletion. I don't know what the relationship is between the editors and the subject. We should assume good faith. That argument is not helpful. Jehochman Talk 22:28, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
- The subject does satisfy Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Creative professionals. – Athaenara ✉ 02:17, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, he may not have been notable in 2010. But by 2014, with a bestseller under his belt and cited often as an government IT procurement expert (in the wake of the Obamacare website debacle), he certainly is now. Karichisholm (talk) 07:43, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

I did a ton of clean up on this article, moving things around, bringing it up to date, adding citations, etc. Looks good to me now. Karichisholm (talk) 07:44, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
