A name from the past
[edit]I had forgotten all about Claudia Linnear. Someone should put more info on her in the article. She had a fabulous voice!!I also recall people saying she was the inspiration for The Stones' song " Brown Sugar" but I have read in numerous bios of Jagger that Marsha Hunt actually inspired the song.By the way, isn't her name spelled LINNEAR ?jeanne (talk) 07:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the article does mention "Linnear" as well - definitely spelt both ways depending on what you read. As for Marsha Hunt inspiring "Brown Sugar", migt be worth a footnote but you'd need to cite your source. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 09:08, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
- Here's my source Ian,jeanne (talk) 12:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC) for Mick having written "Brown Sugar" for Marsha Hunt. It's in Christopher Andersen's biography of Jagger and mentions it on page 219. The book was published in 1993 by Delacourte Press.
- Actually, she appears on numerous California census takings, and is definitely Lennear, oh and she was born 1947, not 46. 90.244.219.164 (talk) 12:12, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
