Proposed outline

[edit]

This article is pretty good, but is long enough that some headers would be of assistance. This reveals that it is somewhat scattered, with an entire paragraph about how marriage customs interested him, followed by 22 paragraphs, and then another two paragraphs on the same subject. Therefore, I propose an outline:

  1. Intro
  2. Philosophy
  3. Anthropological context
  4. Marriage customs
  5. Conclusion

Birnbaum

[edit]

Birnbaum attributes support by Lévi-Strauss for his theories here: https://www.summametaphysica.com.

This is incredibly hard to believe, since Birnbaum's "philosophy" is complete hokum. Is there anyone here with first-hand knowledge of L-S's views and relationship with Birnbaum? 07:28, 29 September 2022 (UTC) 2A01:CB0C:CD:D800:71D5:30E6:A09A:3350 (talk) 07:28, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Noteworthiness

[edit]

Hello fellow wikipedians, the article contains the remarkable assertion "It is noteworthy that he received none of the medals and honours usually awarded to Resistants, let alone created Compagnon de la Libération." One has to wonder in what way is this noteworthy. As opposed to his wife? Her page also doesn't mention any decorations, although she was in the Resistance. He also hasn't received any award for athletic performance, military valor, or beautiful singing. Unless there is some explanation why "lack of distinction in something" should be mentioned, I plan on deleting the quoted material. SnoTraveller (talk) 17:27, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and used Who Wrote That?™ to discover it was a total non-sequitur added anonymously with no reasoning given earlier this year. As such, I've already removed it myself. Remsense ‥  18:18, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
