Move to Claude Bessy?
[edit]While Bessy did some vocal work, the lede has him as a founder of the LA punk scene. The bio has him editing Slash, singing, promoting bands, VJing, video producing, writing sleeve notes, as well as further cameo vocal appearances. Might it make sense to just move the article to Claude Bessy? The other Claude Bessy = Claude Bessy (dancer) was solely known as a dancer, so that title seems appropriate. - , I strongly support the idea (→erase the disambiguation and put a hat note on top of both pages.). As your proposal induced no other reaction, I believe you may proceed to these changes, if you have time and will. Peace,--221.115.176.223 (talk) 07:45, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm not sure two of us comprises consensus. It'll take an admin to put it through. I'll punt it to one. Wwwhatsup (talk) 02:47, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- When there are only two targets we would normally only move one to Claude Bessy if it's the primary topic. Looking at the two articles it doesn't seem clear that one is the primary topic here. Would there be a more appropriate disambiguation than '(singer)' for this Claude Bessy? --Michig (talk) 06:30, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

- As the article says "He was noted as an iconic founder of the Los Angeles punk scene in the mid 1970s" as an editor of Slash. He also did perform with Catholic Discipline, but it was as an influencer, including his later efforts, that he merits attention. But (punk influencer) is unwieldy. I am guessing there is a way of looking at page analytics to see which is primary? Wwwhatsup (talk) 19:37, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- stats.grok.se shows 507 page accesses for the dancer in the last 90 days and 912 for this article, so this one is getting more traffic at the moment. --Michig (talk) 19:51, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds promising I think at least a change to (writer) could be appropriate. Wwwhatsup (talk) 11:21, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Happy for it to be moved to (writer) if that's acceptable. --Michig (talk) 12:30, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Would seem an improvement until more editors opine. I've done it, adjusted the lede, and the redirect from Kickboy Face. Wwwhatsup (talk) 20:10, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
