Mill pond powered Grays Ferry?
[edit]Clark Park is to the west of the Schyukill River. Grays Ferry, according to its Wikipedia entry, is to the east of the river. Therefore, I think the note in this piece about the mill pond powering factories in Grays Ferry must be in error. Can anyone clarify the situation? PRRfan 15:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's not about east-west, it's about elevation. --evrik (talk) 17:23, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's about which side of the river things are on. You can't have a mill pond on the west bank of the river powering a factory on the east bank -- unless you've got a ton of elevation and an aqueduct across the Schuykill. PRRfan 04:11, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ummm... Gray's Ferry spans the river ... --evrik (talk) 01:12, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Clark Park website
[edit]The Park infobox says
- website = http://www.clarkpark.info/ [ref:] The Friends of Clark Park website is the one listed by the City's Parks and Recreation Department.[/ref]
www.clarkpark.info is dead, squatted. The page is all in Japanese, and the header says スマホでエロゲー・アニメを楽しむ魅力, which Google Translate renders as "Charm to enjoy the erotic anime in the smartphone": clumsy but clear enough. An archived copy from 2012-02-07 says
- The Friends of Clark Park is migrating its Web stuff into a new site, http://www.friendsofclarkpark.org. We'll keep this site up for a few months, but eventually, the new site'll be the main site.
So I'm replacing the old URL completely. The new location, www.friendsofclarkpark.org, is indeed the one that the City page links to. If you would like to discuss this with me, please {{Ping}} me. Thnidu (talk) 02:24, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
