The article needs to be substantively expanded on. I suggest adding more information on the government structure of civilian dictatorships, as well as providing examples of civilian dictatorships. The introduction does not contain an explicit definition of civilian dictatorship. Instead of saying what it is, it says what it is not. It also references other terms that need to be explained, such as absolute monarchy, personalistic dictatorship, etc. Carter925 (talk) 01:20, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This article requires the addition of a lot of information. I think it will be good to focus on a few key aspects, such as expanding the definition, maybe adding indicators/criteria that would help in identifying a civilian dictatorship, an example of a country would be useful. @Ymblanter what do you mean by copyright violation??? I don't understand. Why did you delete my contribution? I translated the info from Portuguese Wikipedia, is that not allowed? I just don't want this article to be a stub. 178.120.61.205 (talk) 02:33, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The text was caught by an automatic filter, I checked it for the plagiarism and confirmed, but I do not have a record, and I do not remember what source I was checking. I see that indeed it is very similar for the Portuguese Wikipedia, so I restored your edits. If it gets caught again I will come back here. For the future, when translating the text from other free source, please always indicate the source (for example, in an edit summary), this is a requirement of the license and helps with all practical issues.
