Trivia

[edit]

I just noticed a trivia section was added to this article. I wanted to point out that such a section is generally a "bad idea", as it encourages editors to turn it into "indescriminate list of information" (see WP:WWIN and [WP:AVTRIV]]). However, the items mentioned are not "trivial", and could/should be assimilated into the article. Thanks, Smmurphy(Talk) 17:05, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its gone, with all the info integrated into the article. - Freechild 14:54, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Background

[edit]

The first sentence is confusing; I really don't know what you mean. Also, in the first paragraph you say the Civil Rights Movement started in the 1940's in Omaha; in a later sentence you say it started in the 1920s. I'd be careful about broadening the topic so much that the "movement" or "activity" isn't specific.--Parkwells 19:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Early Years

[edit]

The article mentions "there were reports of ABB-related action at the time of the lynching". This is very vague and I don't know what it means.--Parkwells 22:03, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious claim

[edit]

The line that "Given the passage of Federal civil rights legislation, state legislators may not have considered it necessary to duplicate legislation at their level" is unsubstantiated speculation that needs a citation. We do not know the circumstances that influenced those legislators. • Freechild'sup? 13:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
