Notability

[edit]

The bridge is probably notable because it is rather distinctive and is more or less a work of art, but because a typical pedestrian overbridge is definitely not notable, we need good sources (something like a magazine article or newspaper feature from when it was built). dramatic (talk) 00:04, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. There are scant references to the bridge online. Lanma726 (talk) 01:28, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mountain fountain?

[edit]

@Prosperosity: I think you may need to edit your latest addition - was Robin Woodward talking about Mountain Fountain or the bridge? Doesn't make sense as it is. Wainuiomartian (talk) 02:16, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Wainuiomartian: Thanks! I've fixed up my typo. --Prosperosity (talk) 02:18, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Demolishing Debates?

[edit]

News reads say it's getting demolished do we edit out the present tense and change it to past tense? Johnnysinsismydad (talk) 15:07, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not yet. WCC wants to demolish it but that's it so far. We should put this on the page though. Wainuiomartian (talk) 17:40, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Text about design flaws reinstated

[edit]

I have reinstated some text about design flaws - danger of small children falling through gaps, drainage and rot issues etc and have added sources, as a previous edit appears to have removed this content as 'misinformation'. I've put this all under 'History' as they are past issues relating to construction rather than engineering.
