The Indian Contributuion to Architectural Decoration in Spanish Colonial America by Alfred Neumeyer to be found in the June 1948 edition of The Art Bulletin that might be relevent here, or might not. Much of what is discussed predates most Churrigueresque architecture, but is seems - to my somewhat unpracticed eye - to be related. Anyway, I'll read it carefully, and perhaps have some original research (just kidding) to add. Or not. Carptrash16:00, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
