Queens Park
[edit]The one I've heard is Queer's Park. Both make sense, but "Queens Park" is ambiguous when spoken, so it seems less plausible to me. Of course, I may be wrong. elpincha 19:13, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
wow, who are the gay people writing this?
[edit]Anyone whether gay or straight and with any knowledge of Toronto knows that that gay scene (and interests in anything different) in Toronto started on Yonge street, and moved east to Church in the early to mid 80's. Yonge Street was the centre of everything in the 70's. Before that it was Yorkville in the 60's —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.10.138.233 (talk) 19:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Village Boundary
[edit]For the longest time it has said on both this article and the [Gay Village] article that there are no defined boundaries to the Church-Wellesley Village, yet however there ARE actually rough boundaries to the area that have been published not only online, but in maps of the area and in Toronto tourist guides. This is reflected in several different sources: http://bestgaytoronto.com/2008/03/12/torontos-gay-village.aspx http://www.gaytorontotourism.com/mapofvill.htm. 99.228.167.108 (talk) 05:06, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
What about mentioning the Duke of Wellington, hence Arthur Wellesley for who the street was named for ?
