Why do we need two pages?

[edit]

Why does Shirley Q. Liquor need a separate page? What is so pressing about that character that it can't be explained here, seeing that I can't even find Chuck Knipp's birthday, or a fair use photo we could use of him WITHOUT his makeup on?

Also, I'm still working on the criticisms and the defenses of Shirley Q. Liquor and Charles Knipp. I know the three criticisms, for example, don't represent the definitive say in anything; what I'm trying to do is avoid critiquing from blogs and get criticism and praise directly from online newspapers and news sites. 172.162.115.189 14:01, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Time to combine the two. --24.21.105.29 (talk) 05:43, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

It should be noted that some one from the ip address 74.140.220.237 has vandalized this page. The most offensive vandalism is where the vandal rewrote a quote from a young black woman in the following manner (words that were altered have been placed within dashes):

"-paint- his face black and -get- rich off spewing hurtful and embarrassing stereotypes about Black women...Knipp -bees- free to celebrate"

The other edits were rewriting of quotes and unsubstantiated claims. I have undid all of this individuals edits on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrbusta (talkcontribs) 16:18, July 18, 2007

This article does not know the definition of the word tryst. I would suggest escapade or just adventure as replacements. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.180.20.53 (talk) 03:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Religion categories

[edit]

I've removed Category:Ministers of religion & Category:American Episcopalians from the article. There's no support in the article for either of these - I would expect to see, at least, the Ministers of religion explained. --Tagishsimon (talk) 15:26, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Knipp is a minister in the Quaker religion. That may be the reason someone posted that in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.226.142 (talk) 23:32, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

BLP issues

[edit]

I was close to speedying this article as a gross BLP violation. A huge amount of the content was badly or not at all cited. Please don't readd anything unless it's properly cited. Stifle (talk) 13:17, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Thanks for pointing out BLP - I have no actual interest in this article, I just came across it (and realized it'd been blanked repeatedly) because I followed an IP history link from my watchlist.. I'll be sure to check the citations next time I reverse any vandalism. :)  • Gliktch •  (Talk)  14:23, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
