Bowling Green

[edit]

I do not think he was in the Witness Protection Program but it is plausible that he is moving to Bowling Green because he has bought property and is currently fixing a house in Bowling Green.

There`s some vandalism here that doesn`t show up on the edit

Does anybody have a source about him being in the Witness protection program? Jcmiller 03:38, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seems unlikely Jackie Autry would have objected to the Barris shows in 1979 -- he was still married to his first wife at the time (who would pass away in 1980).

No citations/references

[edit]

There are no in-text citations whatsoever in this article.

How can anyone determine the veracity of the article's information for themselves without having the sources to check?

There are no real references either; only a few external weblinks.

I also question the appropriateness of including an Amazon.com-style posting of Barris' LP of gameshow theme songs (as well as the picture). How does this tell us anything useful or relevant about him?

Fair use rationale for Image:Cblp1.JPG

[edit]

Image:Cblp1.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Better photo needed

[edit]

The current photo, File:Chuck_barris.jpg, is of very poor quality for several reasons. It is a wide angle shot, with the subject's face taking up less than 4% of the total picture area; the subject is mostly hidden behind a lectern; it was taken in low light with a high ISO number, and thus shows considerable digital noise; the flash resulted in a garish red-eye effect; and, when one zooms in to see detail, the subject is rather fuzzy. The photo is of such poor quality that, in my opinion, it cannot be salvaged. A better photo should be found to illustrate the subject. — QuicksilverT @ 23:40, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
