Koch curve antenna

[edit]

"The fractal Koch curve antenna approaches the limit." Source or calculation for this very interesting assertion? 84.227.254.143 (talk) 16:41, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

see Puente, Romeu, Pous, Ramis and Hijazo, “Small but long Koch fractal monopole”, IEEE Electronics Letters, Vol. 34, No. 1, pp 9-10, January 1998. I did not consult this, but got it from http://www.ece.iit.edu/~pfelber/fractalantennas.pdf‎. http://ms-thesis-xetb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/Papers/Thesis%20II/Paper%20Research/The%20Koch%20Monopole%20A%20Small%20Fractal%20Antenna.pdf covers this idea very well. Underhill reference/claim

[edit]

Claims that break the Chu limit are contentious to stay the least. In fact most of Mike Underhills on loops etc work is considered flawed/barmy and should not be quoted - esp given third party mesurements and numerous papers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mjnmjn (talkcontribs) 04:01, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
