Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

Wikipedia is in English language, not Spanish
The Spanish name he likes so much is a redirect he created, after I correct the spelling, before he was even unaware to whom that Spanish name was related to. Was a red-link.
Subject of the article is Portuguese, not Castilian
This problem in this article occurs in several articles dealing with Portugal in the middle ages, before and after the kingdom was established.
No one is denying the Portuguese links with Spain, nor anyone is affirming a country that is so-well established for centuries.--Pedro (talk) 11:43, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This Wikipedia is in the English language, not Portuguese.
I created the redirect after Pedro showed me that it needed creating. He should have done it himself. It has nothing to do with what I like. Further, he did not "correct" the spelling, since both forms are equally correct. As to my lack of awareness, I redlinked the Spanish spelling of the name here in 2010 before the article was created under the Portuguese spelling in 2011. You're wrong on all counts.
The subject of the article is not Portuguese as distinct from Spanish. Not being "Castilian" has nothing to do with it.
There is no problem, save the anachronism of insisting that an 11th-century figure can be Portuguese and not-Spanish.
I think you need to rephrase, since "affirming" is not what you mean. Srnec (talk) 01:57, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- The Portuguese language existed then. Despite the fact they wrote in Latin. Castilian had nothing to do with it.
- Portugal also existed as an entity then, as an early middle ages county.
- The subject of the article is related with Portugal, not Castile, so it's the name that should be used in the English wikipedia, except if there is an Anglo-saxon variant of the name, which is not the case, given the subject's obscurity. So the Portuguese name is the name to be used.--Pedro (talk) 12:37, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
