Neutral salt production

[edit]

I was surprised to see statement that it is produced by dissolving green chromium oxide since I thought this would be difficult to dissolve. However the article on chromium(III) oxide to confirm its solubility is acids, and the product will be easy to separate from the reaction mixture. I would have thought that it would need to be prepared from freshly precipitated chromium hydroxide, from the basic sulphate and sulphuric acid or by the addition of sulphuric acid in the SO2 reduction process. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.227.15.253 (talk) 11:10, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see any connection with food and drink. Biscuittin (talk) 20:20, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was in Category:Preservatives so the bot may have taken it as a food preservative, which it certainly is not. I have removed it from Category:Preservatives for this reason. Biscuittin (talk) 20:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
