The bishop speaks at the United Nations
[edit]- Episcopal News Service accessed 2011-04-11 Bastique ☎ call me! 17:20, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Ssenyojo's family name begins with a double S; I've updated the spelling.
The Church of Uganda dissociated itself from Ssenyojo in 2006 and noted: "He is no longer entitled to wear the robes of a deacon, priest, or bishop in the Church of Uganda. If you see him in a purple shirt and clerical collar, or the robes of a bishop, he is only pretending to be a bishop. But, he is no longer a bishop of the Church of Uganda." This isn't the most straightforward langauge; I've simply said that the CoU stated that he's no longer a bishop. Ssenyonjo contests this, saying he's still a member & a bishop; however since the CoU no longer considers him to be a bishop, I've removed categories "Anglican Bishops" and category "Ugandan Anglicans." Problems
[edit]I'm seeing a bunch of issues in this article. Those involving the prose i've tried to sort out. But there are issues with the neutrality or reliability of sources, and the extent to which the narrative relies upon the subject's own statements, including about facts about himself.
- Article stated "Senyonjo gave the keynote speech at the Metropolitan Community of Churches General Conference". Not according to the official conference website. I have deleted this statement.
- Article stated "In 2009 Senyonjo attended a pivotal anti-gay conference from March 5-7, 2009, titled..." Most of this text is probably OK, but the only basis for it being called pivotal is that it is characterised that way by the itnerested participants involved in ther writing of the reference. Not good enough.. Needs fully independent news sourcing. Delted "pivotal". hamiltonstone (talk) 08:29, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
If I can detail more, I will add them here. hamiltonstone (talk) 08:15, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
