I oppose the proposed merge of Chris Mason and Christopher Mason on the grounds that unlike name variations such as Tom and Thomas or Bill and William, there are several names that are commonly abbreviated as "Chris" (Christian, Christine, Christina) in addition to an occasional non-abbreviated use of "Chris" as a complete first name. bd2412T17:24, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
