Why are we allowing an external link to "I hate Christie Blatchford"?

Why not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chadsnook (talkcontribs) 23:55, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where is all this info coming from?

[edit]

Nothing is sourced at all, it reads like she wrote this article herself. Shouldn't all the unsourced info be deleted immediately? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spikeyfrankey (talkcontribs) 19:14, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Who keeps reverting the pages to demonstrate an obvious bias against Aboriginal people and women? Why is only a pro-Blatchford perspective allowed? Why can the article be defamatory against Aboriginal people without any apparent problem? And who would be so concerned with making this page pro-Blatchford other than Blatchford (or a friend) herself?207.34.139.42 (talk) 00:13, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Eyeopener?

[edit]

Just wondering - why is there an external link to some page called the Eyeopener? 138.199.78.251 (talk) 13:19, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An earlier version of this article stated that Blatchford once worked for The Eyeopener, the Ryerson student newspaper. But it's an unnecessary external link, so I've now removed it. Thank you. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 13:55, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Christie Blatchford/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Please remove "I Hate Christie Blatchford" web site.

This is a horrible site that does not use any proper sourcing or referencing. I have contacted the Globe and Mail about the user's abuse of the newspaper's articles.

Hate sites are pitiful and a waste of time. There is nothing useful on/in this page.

Semi-protected edit request on 20 April 2019... Recent video of Christie exercising her vast ignorance about Julian Assange should be added....

[edit]

As I cannot edit I humbly request an addition to the Christie Blatchford wikipedia page. A video posted on April 16th by one of Christie Blatchford's employers, the "National Post's" on YouTube titled, "Julian Assange is no journalist." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw9jiA4po3k It is a recording of Christie Blatchford commenting on, "...why she hates to hear Wikileaks founder Julian Assange hailed as a journalist." as per the video description. This commentary speaks quite literally for itself and would greatly benefit the information value of this wikipedia page to be included.

Thanks you ahead of time. Hopefully I have made this request properly. Please do let me know if there are any questions or problems in this request and I will do what I can to be of assistance if needed. MN Safari Pilot (talk) 07:39, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done You seem to want to right a wrong with the perception that she is ignorant but have not offered any reason why. She has given an opinion piece that does not sound to be off the mark that he isn't a true professional journalist and lacks the professional understanding and ethics for that field such as endangering others and not understanding why that is wrong. This was established by other journalists quite some time ago.

Christie Blatchford - Cancer Diagnosis

[edit]

Nov 20th, 2019 Recently, Blatchford’s journalistic output has paused after a diagnosis of cancer; it started in a lung and metastasized to bones in her spine and hip before being detected. She is undergoing treatment in hospital.
