christians population
[edit]please see Indonesian wikipedia section religion the statistic is based on the actual population cencus last year it is clearly written that christians count 12.7 of the 2010 population (9.2 protestant and 3.5% catholic) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.82.84.216 (talk) 10:00, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Need to cite to an authoritative source in order to change such a critical number. Merely referencing another Wikipedia article is insufficient.--Rpclod (talk) 18:57, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

State-sponsored Muslim migrations in Christian areas
[edit]I have removed the above-mentioned section per WP:NPOV and WP:V. It is poorly sourced, and much of it (e.g. "Pieces of evidence from international human rights organisation including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International") is not mentioned in the source, which itself is a highly partisan website. State-sponsored migration from densely populated areas to other parts of Indonesia does not only affect Christian areas, but also causes pressure on many "peripheral" Muslim communities. It also has brought Balinese Hindus to Muslim areas with a significant shift in the demography of these areas. The increasing Islamization of Indonesian politics and public life is a fact, so is state-sponsored migration. But the claim of a deliberate Islamization by means of resettlement comes close to a conspiracy theory; this is a strong claim that needs a strong source (WP:EXTRAORDINARY). What is true that once the religious composition of a region changes because of the influx of Muslim settlers, Christians experience the same subtle and less subtle marginalization as in traditionally "mixed" regions. But this is covered in the remaining sections. –Austronesier (talk) 07:50, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm working on the translation into traditional Chinese, and having hard time understanding the wordings' meaning, can you help by making it more plain in expressing? New provinces
[edit]The table in the "Distribution" section needs data from the newly created provinces in Papua. 2600:1702:6D0:5160:A0FF:BE61:EA22:9B9F (talk) 03:11, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
I just want to point out, the Christian growth thingy is merely propaganda
[edit]Mathematically it doesn’t even make SENSE, and it has been debunked many times, in fact Christianity is dying everyday in Indonesia, it’s not growing, these sources are merely missionary propaganda Imnotarealhumanhehe (talk) 15:30, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with you محمود عبدالمنعم حسان (talk) 06:51, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
