I am failing this article's GA nomination for the following reasons:

• The lead is too short (WP:LEAD)
• The article has an unresolved "citation needed" tag. Please provide inline citations, per WP:GACR #2
• The following phrases seem unencyclopedic or unprofessional, per WP:WTW. Please use more precise language:

• "Amanpour gained a reputation for being fearless..."
• "Amanpour has reported on major crises from many of the world's hotspots..."

• On a related note, "hotspot" is not well-defined here.

• "She has had many memorable moments in her television career..." -- The significance of this paragraph is not explained well.
• The "Bosnian War reporting" section comprises a large part of its parent section, such that the article appears to give too much weight to one topic. Furthermore, this section relies excessively on quotations.
• There are two sections about her CNN career: "CNN" and "Return to CNN". The first section should be renamed to indicate that it was only the first of two terms at CNN.
• The "Affiliations" and "Screen and media appearances" sections need more details.
• The "Trivia" section seems unnecessary.
