Proposed split
[edit]I propose to split this article. There are (or have been) three separate library buildings that are all independently notable:
- the old library building in Hereford Street was registered with Heritage New Zealand as a Category I building.
- the 1981 replacement building in Gloucester Street designed by Warren and Mahoney
- Tūranga, the current library that's been open for a few months now
There's a New Zealand libraries edit-a-thon tomorrow and as part of that, I'll plan to work on the above. Sorry for the short notice. Schwede66 18:16, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- I'd say for now keep it together but have separate sections on the three buildings above. If it gets too long then spliting might be a good idea but it is often a better idea to keep stuff like this together. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here)(click me!) 22:10, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
