- I'll do this review.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:11, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. Take your time.--FutureTrillionaire (talk) 03:13, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- First impression is that 12472 characters (2123 words) "readable prose size" is a fraction of the length I expected for this topic.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:36, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
"The Jewish people still await the Messiah's first coming, while Christians await his second coming, when they believe he will fulfill those parts of Messianic prophecy." needs two citations.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:36, 23 May 2013 (UTC)- I managed to find a source that covers both statements.--FutureTrillionaire (talk) 13:53, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- You distinguish between Jesus and Christ. What is the date of origin of each term and of the joint term.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:36, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- I added info about what Jesus was called before he was called Christ, and when he was called Jesus Christ and by whom.--FutureTrillionaire (talk) 13:53, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Reminder: The LEAD is a summary of the main body. All content in the LEAD should be in the main body with at least as much detail.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 18:42, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Etymology and origins
- This section is currently unfulfilling. I think this is due to both a poor ordering of facts and incomplete facts. Here is my rough approximation of what I would expect.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- "The earliest source of the word comes from the Xth century writings of Greek Scholar X in about the Xth century B.C." --TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- The meaning of the term in its earliest use was XYZ.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- The term was then found in Latin texts dating back to the Yth century. --TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Now the term permeates language with variations on its spelling appearing in the New Testament.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:54, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- You talk about spelling standardization without presenting the prior state of confusion. Start with an era of alternate spelling(s) then move to standardization. show all alternate spellings before standardization.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:56, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Did adding an h change the pronounciation?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:59, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- The first use of the term Christmas should probably be linked. Its origin of use as a term should also be noted.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:03, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
@TonyTheTiger: Unfortunately, I'm not knowledgeable of this subject enough to make significant improvements. The nominator, User:History2007, has WP:vanished before the review began, and the article is far from GA quality in my opinion. The best thing to do now is probably to withdraw this nomination.--FutureTrillionaire (talk) 23:13, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Withdrawn--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:41, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
