QPQ: - pending
Overall: There are some minor style issues, like hyphens being in place of en-dashes, but otherwise it's fine. We just need the QPQ for this to be approved. —holly {chat} 20:47, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

How is he still a rookie in 2013–14?
[edit]If his first full season was the 2012–13 season, then why was he still considered a rookie in the following season? I know the source says Rangers' rookie Chris Kreider...
but how can that be, when the definition of "rookie" is an athlete in their first season? Or is it the case that anyone with an entry-level contract is considered a rookie? —holly {chat} 20:53, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

- For how big the article is, I think the lead should be expanded some. Done
- Stats section doesn't have a source.
- WikiOriginal-9, at the very bottom of this article it says

- WikiOriginal-9, at the very bottom of this article it says
- I wonder if this article couldn't benefit from some season subheadings. I know you've probably been intentionally not too doing that but it might make navigation a little easier. It looks like Sydney Crosby doesn't have season subheadings because each season just has its own paragraph but for Chris Kreider some of the seasons have multiple paragraphs so subheadings might be helpful.
- I think this was missed. Thanks. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 02:46, 7 December 2024 (UTC) Done
- @WikiOriginal-9: Oops, I did forget the subheading comment (fixed!). As well, I JUST noticed I somehow missed the entirety of the 2015-16 season. So please bear with me while I add that. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:44, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- OK, I didn't notice that either, lol. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 01:19, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

- WikiOriginal-9, at the very bottom of this article it says
- Add commons to external links section. Done
- "Although he transferred to Phillips Andover for his junior year, Kreider repeated his sophomore year at the private school" What private school? The previous sentence said he went to public school.
- WikiOriginal-9 He repeated his sophomore year at Phillips Andover despite technically being a junior. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:41, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- So was he in high school for four years or five? ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:08, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- WikiOriginal-9 Obvi I will try and find a better source, but according to this "He agreed to enter Andover as a repeat sophomore but was able to graduate in 2 years by taking an accelerated summer program at the end of his final year." HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:32, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- That will work. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 22:51, 5 November 2024 (UTC)

- Was he at Phillips Andover for three years? Article only mentions two years: "In his first year" and "He improved the following year"
- I think I answered this above but it was two years at Masconomet Regional High School and two years at Phillips Andover. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:20, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- "in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft" Lowercase entry draft. It's lowercased now (for right or wrong) Done
- "Kreider recorded four shots on net in his NCAA debut on October 18 against Vermont" Link shots on net (I just created the redirect), NCAA, and Vermont (there's probably a team link). Done
- "to lift Boston College over Notre Dame" link Notre Dame team. Done
- "Prior to joining Team USA" Probably a hockey specific link for that? Done
- "2009-10 Hockey East All-Rookie Team" I think the - should be a –. Also link Hockey East Done
- "In their championship game against Maine" link Maine Done
- "Kreider scored a goal in the 2010 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament" That's already linked earlier as Hockey East semifinals so maybe remove the "Hockey East semifinals" hidden link. Done
- "short-handed goal" link to short-handed goal Done
- "2012 Beanpot Tournament" Beanpot Tournament was linked earlier. Done
- "win over Minnesota in the Semifinals" link Minnesota. Also, is Semifinals supposed to be capitalized here? It wasn't earlier for the Hockey East semifinals. Done
- "against Ferris State" link Done
- "entry-level contract with the Rangers" This is the first time it's mentioned in the body so link New York Rangers.
- It was mentioned earlier when he was drafted. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:20, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- "and one hit" link hit to something Done
- "played on the second line" link to Line (ice hockey) Done
- "Quarterfinals", "Semifinals", "Finals", and "Final" are linked a bunch in this article but those terms are lowercase at their own article (for right or wrong). Done
- "Prior to the start of training camp" link training camp Done
- "power-play" link Done
- "while playing top six minutes" What's that mean?
- Removed. There are four lines on a team with three men each. Playing top-six minutes means playing on the first or second line.
- "hat trick" link Done
- "hat trick" and "hat-trick" are both used in this article. Just use one for consistency. Done
- "plus-9 rating" What's that? link? Done
- "penalty minutes" link to penalty minutes Done
- "Kreider injured goaltender Carey Price when he crashed his net in the second period" Is that supposed to say "Kreider injured goaltender Carey Price when he crashed into his net in the second period"? Done
- "they met with the Los Angeles Kings in the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals" I assume they lost? Done
- "game misconduct" link Done
- "boarded" link Done
- "Jonas Brodin" link Done
- "He would score again in Games 2 and 3 to set a new" change to "He scored again in Games 2 and 3 to set a new" Done
- "The Rangers would go on to win the series" change to "The Rangers won the series" Done
- "Kreider would set new career highs" remove would Done
- "Brian Leetch in 1992-93." I think the - is supposed to be a – Done
- Changed to
since Brian Leetch in the 1992-93 season
HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:20, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Changed to
- Same for 1990-91 Done
- "neck spasms" link Done
- "all at even strength" I think I know what that means. Done
- "start of the 2014-15 season" update the dash like above Done
- "supplemental discipline" is there a link for that?
- "Ahead of the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft" lowercase expansion draft Done
- "as their top line centre" link Done
- "primary assists, and three secondary assists" What's primary and secondary mean?
- That was needlessly complicated, I changed it to just assists. Primary = passed to the goal scorer. Secondary = passed to the person who passed to the goal scorer. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:46, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- "Leading up to the NHL Trade Deadline" link to NHL trade deadline and lowercase Done
- "Stanley Cup Qualifiers" lowercase Qualifiers? Done
- "ACL tear" link to ACL tear Done
- "while tying for third most power-play points" change to "while tying for the third most power-play points" Done
- "He subsequently became the first Rangers forward to play in consecutive All-Star Games since Wayne Gretzky" This is the first time I saw All-Star mentioned in the article? When was he an all-star before this? Done
- "Jaromír Jágr in 2005-06" update dash like above Done
- "met with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the First Round" not sure first round should be capitilized if the other stuff isn't Done
- "Kreider tied Mark Messier" unlink Mark Messier, it was linked not hat far back in the article. Done
- "pass Mark Messier" remove Mark, he was mentioned a sentence or two ago. Done
- "in memory of Rod Gilbert" link Rod Gilbert Done
- "Madison Square Garden" link Done
- "On May 16, 2024 Krieder" comma after 2024 Done
- "come from behind" change to "come-from-behind"? Done
- "On May 16, 2024 Krieder scored a natural hat trick with three consecutive 3rd period goals to lead the Rangers to a come from behind victory in the 2nd round of the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs and reach the Conference Finals" Can you redo this sentence? I don't think you wrote this since it's after your GA nom date, but the sentence is kind of long and it doesn't follow your earlier style of mentioning what teams they played and stuff. Done
- "He first represented United States men's national junior ice hockey team" change to "He first represented the United States men's national junior ice hockey team" Done
- "to help Team USA shutout of Switzerland 3–0" remove of Done
- "win over Team Latvia" is there a link for the Latvian national team? If so, go ahead and link Switzerland too. Done
- Link Team Canada Done
- Link Sweden's team Done
- "He scored three goals and one assist for four games over eight games" not sure what this is trying to say Done
- LOL, meant four points not four games. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:51, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- "included The Old Man and the Sea" italicize that book Done
- Reference formatting looks fine. Some of the stuff like The New York Times could probably be linked though. Done
