Death

[edit]

Pneumonia? Sounds more like a pulmonary embolism to me. Is there a primary source for the events that lead to his death? Fhayashi 12:36, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the sentences suggesting Candido died of pneumonia, that he was flying within 6 hours of surgery, that he was not receiving appropriate medical care, etc. They are all unsourced statements, several of which are clearly factually incorrect. (Clots don't cause pneumonia, they cause pulmonary embolism. They are not treated with antibiotics, but anticoagulants. And where did he fly to?) If regular editors of this page wish to re-include these statements, I hope they will seek appropriate secondary sources. I have also added the date of Lockdown 2005 and the date of his death into the paragraph. It may be appropriate to move the section on his death higher up in the article, but I will leave that to others to do. Oh, and for the record - I have no idea who JB196 is, I came to this article when reviewing the Arbcom case involving Burntsauce, which I in turn came to when reading candidate statements/responses to questions from Arbcom candidates.
